Hello Sharks Families,
Thank you all so much for your help at the meet.Without your help, these meets would not happen.I am so proud of our team! We won our meet on Wednesday 414 to 342! Let’s keep our momentum going and finish our last home meet with a win!
We are looking forward to our last Home Meet against River Forest on Wednesday, June 19th.
There’s a lot of information in this email. Here is what to look for in this email:

*Volunteers Needed
*Junior Sharks
*Swim Clinic with Swim Atlanta
Home Meet Against River Forest:
Our last Home Meet is this Wednesday, June 19th. More details on when to check in, warm up and parking to follow on Monday.
Please RSVP attending or not attending by Monday, June 17th. You can do this by going to the website: https://somersetsharks.swimtopia.com/ We will still need volunteers at away meets so please sign up! We always need more volunteers for home meets so if you haven’t hit your requirements for volunteering, please make sure to sign up.
If you RSVP that you are attending, please attend. We understand that sickness happens but if it does, please text me (304)593-2138 or send an email ASAP. Once you are at the meet, do not leave until all of your events are finished. Leaving early leaves a relay team without a person which means those that stayed to swim cannot swim and this hurts three other kids. If you do not want to stay for those late relays you can make a note in SwimTopia that you are leaving early, not available for late relays.
Bake Sale:
In continuation of our last week’s fundraiser, we are planning to have another bake sale to help pay to upgrade our timing system as well as make other improvements for the swim team. We will be selling the bake sale items at our concession stand at Wednesday's home meet.Publix bakery is donating the baked goods but we need your help individually wrapping each item. Want to help wrap items while your child is swimming during Wednesday’s practice?Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0B45A5AF29A0FAC61-50027680-bake

Swim Clinic with Swim Atlanta:
We have an awesome opportunity next week. Next Tuesday, June 18th from 9 am – 10 am, a coach from Swim Atlanta (link) a local swim club, will be at Somerset Pool to do a stroke clinic for our swim team. They will focus on butterfly. This is a fantastic opportunity for the swimmers to continue improving their technique and learn new things from a club swim coach.
Swimmers in the 7&8 should attend if available.9 and older swimmers are invited to come early for this.
Make sure you check out the Facebook Group (Somerset Sharks) to see weekly schedules, Shark of the Week or other important information.
Thanks,
Alicia Luechtefeld (Assistant Swim Team Coordinator)
