Somerset Sharks,

We are less than two weeks from registration!!

Registration:

Registration will open Sunday, March 23^rd from 2-4 pm.You can register online or in person.I will be at the Somerset pool to answer all your questions, have a computer for you to register, and those who register in person will receive a shark bracelet for each child that registers.I will also have the ribbons and medals from last year on hand to pass out to those who have not picked them up yet.

Aren’t available to register on the 23^rd?Don’t worry you can register online on our website.All swimmers ages 3 to 18 years of age living in our outside Somerset can join the team and all abilities are welcome.Please invite you friends!

This year we will only be offering online payment for registration through Stripe.This way we can streamline payment easier.If you are unable to pay online, please contact me at [email protected] to pay by check or cash.

When registering you will be also required to select two volunteer positions.The Somerset Sharks Swim Team is all volunteer based.Without volunteers we cannot have a team or swim meets.The team policy is that a parent must volunteer AT LEAST TWO SHIFTS PER SWIMMER. So, if you have two swimmers on the team you must volunteer at least four shifts.By registering for volunteer spots early on you will get the job you want and will help us fill roles before the meets.If you are ONLY a junior shark parent, you will not have to volunteer, and it should not make you during registration.

Somerset Swim/Tennis Membership

Membership is not required to be a part of the swim team, but it does offer a discount and access to the pool outside of swim team hours. Remember that you can sign up for the pool membership online before you come to swim team registration. This will speed the process up and you will know that it is already taken care of and off your checklist!

Meet Schedule

The swim season runs from mid-May through the end of June. Practices will start Monday, May 12th after school. Once school is out, practice starts in the morning. Our practice schedule can be found on here but it can fluctuate from year to year. All meets except the practice meet and first regular meet of the season will be on Mondays.We are also doing our photos for the season early this year since our photographer retired.Swim Team photos will be held on May 28^th.

Sponsorship

This year we are looking for sponsors for the Sharks.We have several large items that need replaced or repaired.I have attached the sponsorship levels to the email and the details can be found on our website.This is completely voluntary and optional, if you think this exposure would be beneficial to you or your business, please contact me to discuss.
